What is company code in sap? A company code in SAP is a distinct and independent organizational unit that stands in for a legally independent corporation and allows the creation of financial statements such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets, among other reports. The following are some salient features of a SAP company code.
Steps To Create Company Code in SAP MM ECC 6.0 Project
- It is created by SAP FI Module Team in real time company scenario.
- For MM User, By using the following path you can create company code.

- After that double click on Copy, delete, check company code as per screen shot.
- Now click on 2nd icon (copy.org) option as per screenshot.
- Fill From company code as 1000 (Standard) and To Company Code as (YOUR COMPANY CODE) i.e. HP21 as per screenshot below.
- Now Click on Yes Option (2 times) and after that fill the currency as INR. See Screenshots below.
- After that click on the enter key (4 times) and after that click on the No option in the pop screen then press enter and cancel the next screen and now click on the copy option and press enter key. See screenshots below.
- After that click on the back icon button or press the F3 button on the keyboard and double click on Edit company code data as per screenshot.
- Now Click on the Position button and fill Company code as hp21 after that press double click on HP21.
- Now Replace all the data of Standard Company code (1000) with your own company code (HP21) data as per screenshots below.
- At last click on the Save button and you have successfully created the Company Code in ECC 6.0.
How to Create Company Code in SAP MM S/4 HANA Project
- For SAP ERP S/4 Hana 1909, you can easily create Company Code by just following the above provided steps in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 but there is one change now you have to copy from company code 0001 standard to company code 2909 in s/4 Hana and follow all remaining steps as per above.
- After that double click on Edit Company Code Data and replace all the standard company code data with your recently created company code 2909 as per screenshots below.
- At last click on the save icon and you have successfully created Company Code in S/4 HANA 1909 SAP MM Project.
