Definition / Explanation of Plant in SAP ERP

• Within a company code form, a plant is an operating region or branch where services are rendered or production is carried out.
• There is only one business code issued to the factory. A corporate code may contain multiple plants.
• A facility may have multiple storage areas where material stocks are controlled.
• Each division and plant is designated a specific business region.
• A plant may be allocated to multiple combinations of distribution channel and sales organization.
• A plant may be shipped from multiple locations. Multiple plants can share a shipping point. 

How to Create Plant in SAP ERP MM Module ECC 6.0 Implementation Project

• First, log on to your SAP ERP Account with User Id & Password.

• Now use T-Code OX10 to directly go to create Plant Display Page in SAP ERP as per screenshots.

You can also SAP Path to Define Plant in SAP ERP As per screenshot (Menu Path is given below on this article)

• Now create on Define Copy, delete, check Plant and copy the standard plant code to create new one.

         Note: SAP always recommend copy the existing one plant code rather that create new one.

• After that Click on Define Plant then click on Position button select input your recently created Plant now Edit as per your requirements (See screenshots)

• Now Click on the save button and press enter key.

• Congratulation! you have been successfully created Plant in SAP ERP ECC 6.0 MM Module Implementation Project.
• Now if you want to check your recently created Plant then just click on Position button and enter your Plant ASTY and press enter as per screenshot

How to Create Plant in SAP ERP MM Module S/4 HANA 2208 Project

• Follow the above provided simple step by step procedures in ECC 6.0 and fill in all the required details as per the screenshot mention below.

• Now Click on Save Button.
